The Martinican shows all his talent here, with modesty and restraint. An album in the form of a tribute to the Duke first of all, and with him to all the black people. Then Coursil, from his small island, pays homage to Fidel Castro who defies American imperialism.
Finally Coursil plays "paper" a fairly long cover of Bill Dixon, the jazz theorist, a moment full of tension and gravity.
